We Are Hiring: Sales Engineer

Main purpose of job role:

  • Apply technical and sales skills to meet the financial growth targets of the Vyon business segment
  • Work closely with the Business Manager & Product Manager, supporting the needs of the business.
  • Internal & External Technical Adviser, linking customers to our Vyon products & removing any technical barriers. Listen carefully to the needs of customers and propose ways of meeting their needs
  • Sell technical products / solutions to both current and new customers

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage existing accounts

- Primary contact for transactional Customers & Products

- Primary contact for Internal Group Company & Customer Service lead enquiries

- Key link with Production partner for enquiries, samples, technical support

  • Target and win new business:-

- Key contact for new enquiries (web, direct, phone)

- Support with research and contact of potential new customers

- Support with key projects, samples, technical data, costings, quotes

  • Liaise with internal departments to satisfy customer needs eg. Quality, Customer Services, Production, Process, Development
  • Coordinate sample manufacture to support new opportunities
  • Interact with key customers, agents and distributors to provide quotes, understand problems, obtain feedback and identify solutions
  • Represent the business at Exhibitions and conferences

Accountable for:

  • Achievement of the annual sales budget for the business segment globally
  • Supporting Existing & New Customer Accounts to achieve budget
  • Supporting Key Project stakeholders to achieve agreed levels of new business.

Experience Required:

  • Proven Technical and Sales experience - experience and understanding of the sales function in a technical business
  • Demonstrated high technical capability
  • Desirable experience within Plastics, Filter or Medical Industries

Personal Skills Required:

  • Strong Computer (ICT) Skills – with experience of CRM Systems, MS Windows , Word , Outlook , Excel , Powerpoint
  • Interpersonal skills to engage with all business functions (development, sales, senior management)
  • Achievement motivated, proactive and driven to achieve goals
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw actionable conclusions
